Craniosacral Therapy Helps Restore Balance in an Inflamed Knee

Craniosacral Therapy Helps Restore Balance in an Inflamed Knee

Linda is a long time mature patient of mine.

Recently she fell and landed on her right knee.
Consequently her knee and lower leg swelled up dramatically.
A major inflammatory response to start a healing response to the injury.

After 2 weeks of no improvement, she came in and received chiropractic care.
With particular emphasis and adjustments to her lower extremity; the bones around the knee joint.

Later that day, she called in with apparent glee.
Her knee pain and swelling was dramatically reduced.
She pointed out to me that it was due to the Craniosacral work that I did with her following the adjustment.

I had worked on her knee after the adjustment with direct hands-on manual therapy to her right knee.
At the time, she reported that she had felt tremendous heat on her knee and she thought the heat was coming from my hands.

But actually it was coming from her inflamed knee joint.
I was mirroring the disorganization and inertia that was occurring in the tissues and muscles surrounding the knee back to her Nervous System.
And so the cells and tissues started to come into balance and normal physiology returned.
As did her gait.
