Post Election, many Americans are Stressed and Uncertain

In the wake of the recent election results, it’s easy to be negative. But you don’t need to despair — now more than ever is the time to find a path forward marked by unity and resolve. While we can’t change the results of the election, we can find ways to move forward.

You don’t have to feel alone or hopeless, there are may tools that are available to help you overcome and withstand stress. A combination of mental resolve and taking care of our bodies physically is the first step to feeling normal again.

Tools for Reducing Stress

It’s important to consider how to best deal with election-related stress. Coping occurs when we increase our sense of control by taking actions that directly reduce the stressor. It’s possible to reduce tension by managing stress-related emotions and their effects. For example, many people use meditation or prayer as coping strategies.

Craniosacral Therapy (CST)

Sustained stress, grief or depression can at times eclipse our sense of self, leaving us feeling disconnected, dislocated and helpless. CST works with our underlying health, rather than simply treating symptoms.

This gentle way of working with your body to encourage the release of symptoms caused by physical, psychological and emotional stress, is a supportive and holistic approach to healing that’s suitable for all ages.

Feldenkrais Method and Nutrition Response Testing

Emotion-focused coping also includes taking care of our physical bodies to stay resilient in the face of stress. With the help of The Feldenkrais Method, anti-stress mechanisms can be accessed if we use the power of our awareness to break unconscious and habitual responses to stress.

Nutrition Response Testing helps to identify body functions, organs or glands that may have become imbalanced or overly stressed allowing health problems to develop. With the proper nutrients, your body will have the tools it needs to stay strong in challenging situations.
