“Within that Cerebrospinal Fluid there is an invisible element that I refer to as the ‘Breath of Life.’ I want you to visualize this Breath of Life as a Fluid within the Fluid, something that does not mix, something that has potency as the thing that makes it move. Is it really necessary to know what makes the Fluid move? Visualize a potency, an intelligent potency, that is more intelligent than your own human mentality.” ~ William G. Sutherland, DO Teachings In The Science of Osteopathy
“The cerebrospinal Fluid is the liquid medium for this life energy radiation, expansion and contraction. Where this is present, there is life and healing with normal function. Where this primary and essential life force is not acting in the body, there is obstruction, spasm or stagnation and pain, like gears which clash instead of meshing in their operation.” ~ Randolph Stone, DO, DC Health Building
My patient today had experienced the sudden death of her sister, who had been ailing so it was not completely unexpected. But the suddenness left my client in shock, not to mention having to take care of her affairs and estate.
When she came in, she was in disarray, stressed out and unable to focus or think clearly.
On palpating her feet and then her Cranium; there was total Inertia. Her whole nervous system was shut down, as if engulfed by a huge weight. There was no movement within.
I waited patiently, and gradually started to sense the Breath of Life underneath my hands – this Life Force energy beginning to ebb and flow like the Tides of the Ocean.
When she sat up fifty minutes later; her face was calm and beatific, almost blissful despite the overwhelming circumstances bestowed upon her.
The Breath of Life had presented itself and had done what was needed for her to come back to herself.
