In the summer of 2020, I was diagnosed with a concussion. I started physical therapy at the recommendation of my primary physician, but also remembered having done some Craniosacral Therapy sessions with Dr. Feldman in the past, and reached out to see if he thought it could be beneficial.
“I guess you haven’t read my website”, he exclaimed, sharing that it was, in fact, one of his specialties and anticipated it would have direct, positive impact.
So, I expanded my concussion care to include 1-2 cranial sacral sessions a week.
Over the next two months, there were several ups and downs during the healing process, but I do believe that the cranial sessions did indeed have a direct, positive impact on my healing. During the sessions, which were painless, I would often experience multiple sensations including tingling, a feeling of “shifting” or “rebalancing”. The next day I would often feel marked improvement.
These sessions were sometimes coupled with a chiropractic adjustment, which was notably specific to one area versus a general adjustment, creating less apprehension of a sudden “crack”.
If you are suffering from the effects of a concussion, which can be incredibly frustrating and sometimes debilitating, interrupting home and work life, I would recommend supplementing your care with a visit to Dr. Feldman to see if his therapies can get you “head”ed in the right direction.
